Powering up SM manually

The following steps assume that all LV channels are off:

Switching on the power distribution box (PDB)

  • Locate the "DCS_PDB" node in the FSM tree on the left and expand it.
  • Right click on the "SM0001" node and select View Panel
  • Switch on the the LV chanel

Switching on the power control unit (PCU)

  • Expand the "PCU" node and select the "PCU_CONSOLE" node (right click and View Panel)
  • Open the FSM Control Panel by clicking on the FSM icon on the upper left corner (below the TRD logo)
  • On the STANDBY state of PCU_CONSOLE, click CONFIGURE. PCU should go to READY.

Powering up the SM bus bars

  • Locate the "SM00LowVoltage" node, expand it and view panel (right click). Note that the only LV channels available are the ones belonging to SM00LowVoltageL01 and SM00LowVoltaged3V3 nodes.
  • Open the FSM control panel and select GO_STANDBY from the OFF state on the top node

Monitoring the SM

  • Go to the "Supermodule00" node and view panel
  • This panel should stay opened at all times

Software interlock

  • By tdefault, the software interlock temperature limit value is set to 25 Celsius and, in general, should not be changed unless agreed in advance.
